news from the SHPE Region 4 VP

Some updated news from the SHPE Region 4 VP to the members of Region 4...

->  OneSHPE has been down for a few weeks now.  SHPE is aware of the frustrations and is working hard to correct this issue.

->  ETLC 2012 will take place from Feb 23 through Feb 26 in San Juan, Puerto Rico!  Registration deadlines are being pushed back due to the unavailability of OneSHPE.  If you plan on attending, please purchase your airfare now before prices rise.  Visit http://shpe-etlc.org for more information.

->  NRP submissions cannot be done through OneSHPE until the site is working again.  In the meantime, please submit your reports to nrp@shpe.org .  If you need a snapshot of your paid members from OneSHPE but do not have one, please use the latest membership reports.  I will be sending the reports from the end of November shortly.

->  By popular demand, Noches de Ciencias will have a second round starting this fiscal year!  Dec 20 will be the proposal deadline for the second round.  The events are to be held Feb 6 through Feb 26.

Dec 20               Deadline for proposals accepted for Second Period events

Jan 20               Approval notifications sent by email to host SHPE chapters

Jan 20 - Feb 6    Initial disbursements sent

Feb 6 – Feb 26   Official Period 2 of Noche De Ciencias

March 1             End-of-Event Report must be emailed to SHPE

March 30           Final Disbursement Sent
