SHPE Conference 2010

The 2010 SHPE Conference was one of the best conferences to date.  Highlights:

- The Career Fair was very large, and much positive feedback was received from exhibitors and vendors alike.

- SHPE thanks Battelle for their commitment to STEM and to Hispanics!

- Region 4 awards -
  - University of Virginia won National Student Chapter of the Year Award for medium-sized student chapter
  - SHPE-NYC won Region 4 Chapter of the Year Award for large professional chapter
  - Jazmin Velez won the Future Leader of SHPE Award
  - Leony Rosa won the Professional Role Model Award
  - Dr. Ilene Rosen, Rutgers' chapter advisor won the 2010 AHETEMS Educator of the Year Award
