The City College of New York (CCNY) SHPE chapter has recently launched a SHPE Conference fundraising initiative that involves reaching out to their alumni network. Student members will submit online essays and donating alumni will have the opportunity to rank the applications.
This is a terrific example of how a chapter is being creative and leveraging their extended SHPE network to achieve goals.
